Hello. Hope all are well.

I currently am running DeltaCopy under Windows 8.1 and I love it, works very well.

Will it continue to function after a Windows 10 upgrade?

Thanks,

IMF

Hello together,

I will not work. I have just upgraded to windows 10 and rsync and ssh stop working.

Is there a schedule to support DeltaCopy at windows 10?

Thank for a short reply

Deltacopy (client at least) works fine on Windows 10.  However, the automatic schedule it creates no longer works.  Despite DC properly checking the box for Run With Highest Privileges, a Microsoft update on or around Sept 1, 2016 broke scheduled tasks created with the old XP/2003 API.  You'll need to go into task scheduler and change it to a Windows 10 scheduled task ("Configure For" at the bottom).  It will work, but DC will no longer be able to see that it is scheduled.

The statement about Windows 10 scheduler seems to be correct.

As a workaround, use the scheduler directly to setup a Deltacopy schedule.

Do this and let the scheduler run the dcp file(s) you created in your attempt to add a

schedule from Deltacopy. Just make sure to run it as 'Windows 10'.

Just an update, I got this to work in Windows 10 directly from DeltaCopy by clicking on 'Modify Schedule' and changing the 'Run' field, adding DeltaC.exe before the dcp file.

So in my case, the end result looked like: "C:\Apps\DeltaCopy\DeltaC.exe NightlyBackups.dcp"

Hello,

Adding deltaC.exe is a good lead but I had to modify the run field to (changed marks):

"C:\Program Files (x86)\DeltaCopy\DeltaC.exe" NightlyBackups.dcp

Given that DC is not aware of the scheduled task on Windows 10, does it not send out an email when the task ends?

From the docs it seems like the only way to see the rsync output is the email.

In the absence of the email, what is the best way to figure out that the task has ended, and without errors.
